Introduction

All praise is due to Allah, the Almighty. May countless blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of the entire humanity, the greatest of mankind and the final Prophet, Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, upon his family, his companions, and all those who follow him until the Day of Judgment.

Islam is a religion of knowledge, guidance, morality, and human welfare. One of the primary objectives of Islamic education is to purify the soul, develop good character, promote the pursuit of knowledge, and build a life system oriented toward the welfare of humanity.

About Us

Markazul Azhar Bangladesh is an ideal, knowledge-based, and value-oriented educational institution. Its aim is to develop a generation guided by the Qur'an and Sunnah who will be enriched with authentic Islamic knowledge, Arabic language, and Islamic culture, while also possessing excellent character, etiquette, responsibility, and human values.

In our view, education is not merely the acquisition of information. Rather, education means understanding knowledge correctly, applying it in life, and developing the ability to use it for the welfare of society and humanity.

Historical Background of the Islamic Education System

Revelation, knowledge, or divine knowledge is the foundation of the Islamic education system. The basic and fundamental framework of Islamic education was established during the time of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam.

Later, the Companions spread across different regions and continued teaching the Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic knowledge. Gradually, independent educational centers and madrasas were established in different parts of the Islamic world.

Development of Dars-e-Nizami in the Indian Subcontinent

The development of the Islamic education system in the Indian subcontinent took place through a long historical process. The contributions of various scholars and educational institutions throughout different periods brought changes and developments to the educational system of the region.

Development of Madrasa Education in Bangladesh

The madrasa education system in Bangladesh did not emerge suddenly through a single individual or a particular period. The tradition of Islamic learning that began around ancient mosques, maktabs, khanqahs, and madrasas in Bengal gradually developed through different historical periods.

Balancing Tradition with Contemporary Needs

Markazul Azhar Bangladesh aims to develop an educational system that preserves the fundamental foundations of traditional Islamic education while remaining compatible with contemporary needs.

We believe that with the changing times, improvements can be made in educational presentation methods, language skills, research fields, and necessary supporting disciplines. However, the fundamental foundations of the Qur'an and Sunnah, authentic Aqeedah, worship, Akhlaq, and Islamic values must remain intact.

To establish an educational institution ranging from primary education to higher research-oriented education with the aim of producing specialized scholars, Da'is, researchers, and Islamic scholars in various fields of Islamic knowledge.

2. Promotion of Islamic Knowledge and Moral Values

To undertake various initiatives to spread Islamic knowledge, morality, and Islamic values among people from all levels of society.

3. Service

To stand beside the poor, helpless, and vulnerable and provide assistance and service according to our ability in various situations.

4. Da'wah

To convey the message of peace, beauty, and human welfare of Islam to people of all communities, both Muslims and non-Muslims, with wisdom, courtesy, and appropriate methods.
